Church/life & Skate/life

Summer has vanished and so our time in Winnipeg. For those in Manitoba we miss you and thank you for a marvellous summer. It seemed as everyday was filled with good food for the stomach, spirit and mind. It was refreshing and fun. It was also overwhelming at times. Bonnie and I both engaged in new and, at times, daunting work. It was a gift for Bonnie to not only be back at St. Margaret's, let alone be back on staff. It was a chance for Bonnie to live in her vocation and serve the Church. In my personal opinion, Bonnie did a good work, pouring herself into every decision, conversation and meeting.

As for my summer, it had some similarities as I needed to rise to a new level of leadership as well. Three years ago, during the last club talk at skate camp, I vividly recall hearing a voice in my mind saying that "one day I am going to need to learn how to run this camp".  The thought came from no where and thinking back it is amazing how God was guiding my path to where I am today. It helps to face the increasing responsibilities and the nerves that accompany them.

Although summer was great, we are happily getting back to a daily routine. As we look ahead I am going to plan out this year in Toronto and Bonnie is going to begin mastering Greek (no pressure). We both appreciate your prayers, gifts, thoughts, packages, postcards, visits, emails, Facebook shout-outs and so on.

All our love,
Caleb (& Bonnie)
